Dental Care in the Age of COVID-19

WE ARE OPEN: Responsible Dental Care in the Age of COVID-19

This pandemic has had an impact on just about every aspect of our lives, and yet we’re still committed to providing you with the best dental care while having the utmost regard for your health and wellbeing.

Even before everything started to change, each one of 3CDental Group’s locations followed the universal precautions outlined by CDC and ADA standards of infection control. In light of recent developments we’ve taken steps to ensure that everyone — patients and employees alike — are safe within our facilities. While COVID-19 is a new disease, in many regards it is similar to the diseases we have been protecting against for years. Ultimately, that’s the most important thing: taking care of you in every way that we can.

What Steps Have We Taken?

All our team members have their temperatures taken before beginning the workday to rule out the possibility of coronavirus symptoms. We require everyone to wash their hands every 30 to 60 minutes, and between patients. The Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that we use includes special masks with up to 98% filtration for viruses and bacteria, gloves, gowns, hair caps, among others.

Additionally, one team member’s sole responsibility is to clean surfaces throughout the day. This is performed periodically and after each patient. Also, all team members are required to bring an extra set of clothes to change into at the end of the workday to ensure maximum sanitation.

And finally, every week we complete a compliance check to make sure all protocols are being followed.

How Are We Taking Care of You?

Your wellbeing is our highest priority, so we’re going above and beyond to make sure your health is not compromised in any way. That said, we are complying with every public health recommendation. Meaning if you have a fever or a cough, we will have to reschedule your appointment.

Other measures:

  • Every patient has the option of waiting in their car instead of the waiting room. We’ll call when we’re ready for you.
  • Patients have their temperature taken before being seated in the waiting area that only holds up to five people at a time in order to observe proper social distancing.
  • Before beginning an appointment, patients are required to pre-rinse with OraCare Mouth Rinse, highly effective given its antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral properties.
  • We kindly ask all our patients to sanitize their hands before returning to our business areas.

These measures are meant to protect your health and that of every patient that visits our offices, as well as the team entrusted with your dental care.

Going Forward

While we may not know how this pandemic will continue to shape our lives in the near future, we are devoted to caring for you with the highest standards of excellence.

Pushing forward, we will continue to provide you with the best dental care available along with the 3C’s: care, comfort, and convenience. We will strive to remain true to our patients and our values — because you deserve nothing less.
